DAY 1

Arrival – Catania airport – Taormina aerea

Arriving in Catania airport, take your car and drive to your hotel in Taormina area. Overnight.

DAY 2

Sicily's Etna Volcanic Wines & Taormina

Discover Mt Etna, the highest active volcano of Europe. Drive to Winery on the slopes of the volcano. The unique environmental conditions determine the typicality Etna grapes and wine. At the highest altitudes the changes of temperature between night and day allow a phenol and aromatic color and taste of the red grapes and for the aroma of the white wines. Visit the Winery and wine tasting. Proceed to Taormina proceed to Taormina, with a breath-taking view of the majestic Mt. Etna. Taormina, a small middle age village, called the "pearl of Sicily", is famous for its narrow stone street and for its majestic Greek Theatre. Return to the hotel. Overnight

DAY 3

Castelbuono wine experience

Departure along the coast toward the charming town of Castelbuono, known for its medieval castle and the production of Manna. Visit the medieval town and walk along the typical narrow streets and stop at "Fiasconaro Pastry shop" to have a taste of the famous homemade “Panettone”, a traditional italian Christmas cake. Don’t miss to taste “La Manna”, is a natural sap, a sugary substance of an ash tree. We recommend you to do a Wine tasting in a beautiful Abbey restored situated approximately 5 km outside Castelbuono.Return to the hotel and overnight

DAY 4

Cefalù - Palermo

Explore the typical fishermen village of Cefalù, through the typical narrow streets of the old village to admire the beautiful “Porta Pescara”. Continuation towards the middle-age lavatory. Crossing the typical narrow little roads, we will reach the spectacular main square and we will visit the majestic Arab-Norman Cathedral. We suggest you to do a short break for and try our delicious Sicilian Ice Cream. Proceed to Palermo walk through the old city rich in magnificent Byzantine, Arab-Norman and Baroque buildings. Visit San Giovanni degli Eremiti, the Norman's Palace, the Palatine Chapel and the Cathedral of Palermo. Don’t miss to try the "arancine" (fried rice balls), "sfincione" (tipical pizza with onion) and "panelle", (fried chick pea fritters). Our local markets (Capo & Ballarò) are the best place to taste our sweet wine zibibbo. Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 5

The Salt and Wine Road – Trapani – Marsala - Agrigento

Spend the day visiting the Salt & Wine Road, between the cities of Trapani and Marsala. In Trapani, you can enjoy the beautiful baroque city center located at the peninsula. Continue and stop in Marsala, famous for its sweet dessert wine “Marsala wine” with is unique taste of Sicilian indigenous grapes and a complex wine making process. Visit the charming historical town with streets paved in gleaming marble, lined with stately baroque. We suggest you to visit winery in Marsala wine tasting. Don’t miss to discover the regional protected area of Isole dello Stagnone of Marsala. Arrival in Agrigento. Overnight.

DAY 6

Agrigento – Ragusa - Modica

Visit Agrigento, a greek city famous for its magnificent archaeological, world-known heritages. Discover the Valley of Temples, such as: the Doric Temple of Juno ,Temple of the Concordia and the Temple of Hercules. Drive towards Ragusa, one of the UNESCO-listed Baroque towns of south-eastern Sicily. Visit the Piazza Duomo of Ragusa Ibla, church of San Giorgio. After that departure to Modica , famous for its baroque style. Visit a chocolate shop to find out how the Modicans have been making chocolate in aztec way. Dinner and overnight in Ragusa area.

DAY 7

Marzamemi – Noto - Siracusa

Explore the charming fishing village of Marzamemi, famous for continues its artisanal fishing and processing activities, producing all manner of delicacies, including canned tuna, dried tuna roe (bottarga), smoked swordfish, marinated anchovies, seafood pasta , tuna salamis and much more. Proceed to Noto , a beautiful example of baroque architecture in Sicily. Grape varieties that grow in this area are “Nero d'Avola” and “Moscato Bianco”. We suggest you to visit a winery in Avola area. Continue towards Syracuse and have a walk along the streets of is historical center called Ortigia. Return to your hotel and overnight.

DAY 8

Departure - Catania airport

Departure to the airport of Catania. Please, take your car back to the car hire office. Go to the terminal and have a nice flight back home!
