Arriving in Palermo airport, take your car and drive to your hotel in Palermo. Overnight.
The best way to visit Palermo , is to walk through the old city rich of magnificent Byzantine, Arab-Norman and Baroque buildings. We suggest you to visit San Giovanni degli Eremiti ,the Norman's Palace , the Palatine Chapel and the Cathedral of Palermo. Don’t miss to taste the "arancine" (fried rice balls), "sfincione" (tipical pizza with onion) and "panelle", (fried chick pea fritters). Drive to Monreale to admire the cathedral with golden mosaic and the Benedictines cloister, considered the finest example of the Norman architecture in Sicily. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
Departure to Castellammare del Golfo, a small village in the north-western coast of Sicily, situated in a beautiful bay between Capo Gallo and San Vito lo Capo. Proceed to visit the protected area of “Zingaro reserve“. During this day, you will have the opportunity to admire beautiful landscape and to see small hidden bays to take a bath in the sea. The Natural Reserve is a trekking area and can only be reached on foot (we recommend sport wear). Return to the hotel and overnight.
Departure to Erice, a typical Sicilian medieval town, situated above 800 mt. over the sea. Visit the Cathedral and the typical streets. Continue to Marsala where you can see the salt pans. Marsala is rich of churches, monuments and museums such as the Museum “Baglio Anselmi” where you can admire the rest of the Phoenician ship. Don’t miss to visit the little island of Mozia with its museum. Overnight at the hotel in Trapani area
Reaching Trapani port take your ferry to Favignana island, the biggest of the “Egadi Islands". The ancient name of Favignana means “Butterfly“due to the island shape. Enjoy the clean and blue sea and discover different bays, such as: Cala Azzurra and and Cala Rossa. Visit the old Tonnara Florio and its museum. Back to Trapani port by ferry and return to your hotel.
Discover Castelluzzo famous for its olive groves and the sandy beaches, then you will proceed to Makari situated in a beautiful position between “Cala Mancina“ and the Monte Cofano. Continue to San Vito Lo Capo, one of most important Sicilian seaside town, famous also for the international couscous festival that is held in September. Return to the hotel and overnight in San Vito lo Capo area.
Drive to Mazzara del Vallo, discover the beautiful city and visit the museum where there is a famous Greek statue "Satiro” founded by a local fisherman in the deep sea. Continuation to Selinunte, the largest archeological area in the Mediterranean. The journey continues to Segesta, the most important town of the Elymi people. The archeological site has two of the best-preserved classical monuments such as the Doric Temple and the Ancient Theatre. Drive towards your hotel in Palermo area and overnight.
After breakfast, depending on your departure flight time, you might have time for your last visit of the city. Departure to the airport of Palermo. Please, take your car back to the car hire office and go to your departure terminal and have a nice flight back home!
